Our end-to-end solution integrates artificial intelligence, digital payments, financial services, and modern management tools to support the African retail ecosystem in its digital transformation.
Your role:
As Financial Back Office Officer, you’ll be responsible for processing, checking, and monitoring the financial operations generated by the Woliz platform. You’ll ensure the quality, traceability, and reconciliation of financial flows, while keeping the sub-ledgers tied to clients and partners running smoothly. You’ll also help strengthen internal controls, improve the reliability of financial data, and support accounting closings.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner and third-party management: Create and update partner, nanostore, and agent records, check administrative information and supporting documents, and monitor third-party accounts.
- Invoicing: Generate, check, and issue invoices, manage credit notes, track collections, and carry out matching and reconciliation of invoices against payments.
- Flow reconciliation: Reconcile data across the Woliz platform, wallets, bank accounts, and sub-ledgers, then analyze and resolve discrepancies.
- Operational control: Verify financial transactions, check commissions, track refunds and disputes, and contribute to operational VAT control.
- Reporting: Produce operational dashboards and prepare tracking reports for the Finance Department.
What we’re looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s to Master’s degree (Bac+3 to Bac+5) in Finance, Accounting, or Management.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of first experience in a similar role.
- Background: Prior experience in a finance, banking, payment institution, or fintech environment is a plus.
- Tools: Good command of Excel.
- Technical skills: Accounting knowledge, with a strong sense of control and reconciliation.
- Soft skills: Rigor, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
- Bonus: Familiarity with Sage 100 is a plus.
