Woliz is a Moroccan retail-tech and fintech company that, as a partner aggregator, transforms nanostores (local neighborhood shops) into connected points of sale. Our end-to-end solution integrates artificial intelligence, digital payments, financial services, and modern management tools to support the African retail ecosystem in its digital transformation.
Your Mission
You will be the backbone of WOLIZ’s accounting function. Reporting to the CFO, you will set up and manage the full accounting cycle, ensure timely monthly closings and regulatory filings, and build analytical accounting by product line and geography (Morocco and international markets). You will supervise one junior accountant and coordinate with external auditors.
Required Profile
- 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in an audit firm (Big 4 or reputable Moroccan firm) AND 2 years in a corporate environment.
- Complete mastery of the Moroccan General Chart of Accounts (PCG) and Moroccan tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax, payroll tax, CNSS).
- Proficiency with accounting software (Sage 100, Odoo, or SAP Business One).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, nested formulas).
- Absolute rigor and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Fluent in French; professional English (international communication required).
- Bac+4/5 in Accounting or Finance (ISCAE, ENCG, or equivalent). DCG or DSCG is a strong plus.
